You will start this Arctic adventure in Tromsø where you will sail along the striking coastline above the Arctic Circle, an ideal opportunity to view the legendary Aurora Borealis, also known as the Northern Lights. If you are privileged enough to see this tremendous natural phenomenon of dazzling coloured lights, you will be amazed by its beauty. Your voyage will continue to Kirkenes, originally named Piselvnes prior to the church being built. There is also an assortment of non-compulsory excursions you may want to indulge in, such as a snowmobile expedition, husky adventure or an excursion to the Russian border.
*** Please note that this holiday has two different options 1) 5 day with one night at a hotel post cruise in Tromso. 2) 6 day with either one night pre and one night post at a hotel in Tromso or two night post depending on the date of travel***

Day 1 -
Fly direct to Tromsø

To begin your journey you will take a direct charter flight to Tromsø, the Arctic capital of Norway. Due to the high latitude and climate of Tromsø, it is a recommended locality to catch sight of the Northern Lights. Your charter flight departs Gatwick at 10:00, arriving in Tromsø at 14:30 (please be aware that the times of the flights may be subject to change)

Days 2 to 3 -
Kirkenes passing by North Cape
|
Enjoy the early morning in the market town of Hammerfest before progressing on to Honningsvåg where you can partake in one of the optional pursuits such as a trip to Europe’s most northerly point, the North Cape. You will witness incredible vistas on this voyage so take your time to soak up the country’s splendour. Sailing on, you will reach the port of Kirkenes which is a distant district of Norway and only 10 kilometres from the Russian border. Again, there is a selection of excursions you can take advantage of prior to your departure back to Tromsø.

Day 4 -
Tromso
|
|
On your return to Tromsø you will alight at Hammerfest, northern Norway’s oldest town before concluding your cruise. Transfers will be arranged to take you to a centrally located hotel where you may be staying one or two nights depending on what you booked prior to your holiday.

Day 5 -
Depart Tromsø
|
You will have another opportunity to sample one of our once in a lifetime excursions to complete this fantastic vacation. Finally, depending on how long you chose to stay in Tromsø, you will either leave on day 5 or 6. Departing Tromsø at 15:30 and arriving at Gatwick at 18:00 (please be aware that the times of flights may be subject to change)
