Unique and romantic winter honeymoons
The pristine snow-covered landscape of Iso-Syöte is the perfect backdrop for romantic winter honeymoons. You and your beloved will glide through snow capped forests and over frozen lakes on private snowmobile and reindeer safaris, which include romantic lunches cooked by a campfire. The rest of your honeymoon can be spent exploring the many nearby ski slopes and idyllic arctic scenery of the region, which is known as the gateway to Lapland.
Our specially designed winter honeymoons also include a romantic Northern Lights snowmobile safari. The memories of this spectacular evening excursion, which journeys under a starlit sky searching for the Aurora Borealis, will be ingrained in your memory forever. Spend the rest of the long wintery nights snug in a cosy log cabin, away from the rush of everyday life.
All newlyweds on our winter honeymoons receive a basket which includes the traditional Finnish gifts of a reindeer skin, snow tree candles, a hand carved Lappish stone in the shape of a heart and a carved Lappish cup with your names and the date of your marriage engraved on it. Our winter honeymoons are filled with little touches which will make your holiday in Iso-Syöte extra special.
Please note that a fully valid driving licence is needed in order to drive the snowmobile and take part in the tour.
Day 1 -
Arrive in Finland

Depart from Heathrow on a flight to Oulu, on arrival you will be transferred to the Iso-Syöte resort, which is the base of our winter honeymoons. In your traditional log cabin you will be greeted with flowers, champagne and chocolates. Spend the first night of your honeymoon relaxing in the romantic log cabin finally enjoying some time together. Depending on arrival time an evening meal may be included.

Day 2 -
Monday
|
Wake in the idyllic setting of Iso-Syöte on the first morning of your luxurious honeymoon. After a delectable breakfast collect your thermal outerwear from reception and get wrapped up ready for the first adventure of your winter honeymoon in Finland – a private snowmobile safari into the wilderness. You will both be guided through glistening snow covered landscape towards a tranquil spot, where you will enjoy a romantic lunch cooked on an open campfire. Afterwards remount the snowmobiles and return to the hotel. A private sauna is available for newlyweds on our winter honeymoons.

Day 3 -
Tuesday
|
Enjoy breakfast before ascending snowmobiles outside the hotel for a thrilling journey to a husky park. At the park you will be given a 6KM taster of husky sledding, which is the traditional arctic way of travelling.

Day 4 -
Wednesday
|
Spend today relaxing and enjoying the ski slopes at the Iso-Syöte (ski passes additional cost). On our winter honeymoons couples can choose between 12 downhill slopes, a snowboard street, half pipes and a snow tube run - where you can slide down the slope in a large rubber tyre. There is also 75 miles of gentle fell area which is ideal for both beginners and cross country skiers.
In the evening you and your beloved will go on the adventure of the lifetime - a snowmobile safari in search of the Northern Lights. Iso-Syöte’s landscape transforms into a shimmering starlit kingdom at night, providing an epic backdrop for winter honeymoons. The mesmerising phenomena are considered to be one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Newlyweds on our winter honeymoons have a chance of witnessing the crimson, green and yellow lights dance across the arctic sky.

Day 5 -
Thursday
|
Today couples on our winter honeymoons are treated to a private reindeer sleigh safari, which includes a special lunch cooked on a campfire. This leisurely excursion will allow you and your beloved to take in the peaceful tranquilly of the arctic landscape together.
The rest of the day will be free to spend at leisure, perhaps enjoy a short skiing session or swim in the hotel’s pool.

Day 6 -
Friday
|
A real adventure awaits you today on a long snowmobiling safari (approx 6 hours/100km). Cuddle up close to your loved one as you take turns driving through the enchanting snow covered realm of Iso-Syöte. After your earlier snowmobiling excursions, you will both be experts using your bodyweight to make the right curves and moves as you turn corners. During the safari you will be served a coffee and a delicious lunch by a campfire.

Day 7 -
Saturday – Personalised Winter Honeymoons

All of our winter honeymoons have one free day which couples can spend at leisure. There are a range of optional excursions to choose from including; kick sledge gliding, ice rally driving, snowshoe hiking and ice fishing.

Day 8 -
The Final Day of Your Winter Honeymoon
